As commercial interior photographers in Glasgow, we have photographed a number of hotels over the years. The Radisson Blu on Argyle Street in Glasgow, has been established for a while and has undergone a major refit. As part of the refurbishment we were approached to photograph the interior of new snug lounge which has recently been completed.
Often, when we photograph commercial interiors we have to shoot in a working environment but fortunately on this occasion we were able to cordon off the area being photographed. This gave us full control of the room and enabled us to use portable studio lighting to help supplement the available ambient light.
We wanted to create a cosy feel so we carefully supplemented the ambient lighting with some studio flash.
The client also wanted some lifestyle shots to show the lounge in use so some shots were taken with additional props such as tea and cakes and drinks to help set the scene.
To help set the scene we used some additional props such as tea and cakes.
We finished off the shoot by taking some interior shots of the newly refurbished bar and reception areas. These were a little harder to photograph due to the fact that they were still open to the public so it took a little extra time to wait till the scene was clear of people.
